Capabilities
Feel the freedom
Boards can consist of any number of pages, and each one offers an unlimited canvas that you can zoom in and out of, pan in any direction, and rotate. To navigate around a page, you can use the arrow keys on your keyboard or two fingers on touchscreens. The home icon will always take you to the origin of the coordinate system. A minimap (represented by the binoculars icon) helps you orient yourself on the canvas by letting you preview the entire page and jump to a chosen spot with a single click.
Collaborate live
You can invite others to work together on a board. Everyone you invite can see changes as they happen. You can share boards with any number of people while staying in control of who among the invitees can draw or chat.
When sharing a board, all you need to do is provide the person’s name, and the generated link will include information about the granted permissions, which you can revoke if needed.
Draw on anything
You can use any image as the board background. For example, take a photo of an exercise from a notebook with your camera and then add your notes on top of it.
You can also use a web page, a map, or a PDF document as the board background and add annotations or a handwritten signature.
Meet up in Draw.Chat
Draw.Chat includes a built-in messenger with video calling, screen sharing, and file transfer. Connections between users are established directly—no one but you has access to the content of the data transmission.
Collaborate with artificial intelligence
An AI assistant can take part in the text chat, providing answers based on the messages you send. Just ask it a question directly by starting your message with “@ai”, e.g. “@ai suggest a text game for us”.
Discover the power of tools.
You have a range of tools at your disposal that help you communicate more, faster. Draw geometric shapes and arrows, highlight important parts of text, and insert images from the internet, your drive, or the clipboard. If you make a mistake, you can easily undo each step or use the eraser.
Experience natural drawing
Selected tools, such as crayons or a nib pen, respond to pressure and stylus tilt, enabling a faithful reproduction of the depth and character of your notes.
This precision makes it easy to forget you’re not working on traditional paper.
Speed up your work
Use keyboard shortcuts to quickly switch tools, adjust brush size, or navigate the board. For even more convenience, customize the buttons on your tablet so your most-used functions are always within reach.
Use layers
The canvas has several layers you can use to achieve even more effects. The lowest layer is the background, e.g., a color, image, map, or PDF page. The next layers are Layer 1 and 2. You can choose which of these layers you want to draw on using the available tools. The last layer, at the very top, is the front layer, where you can place non-erasable elements such as SVG files with coloring pages.
Share multiple files
With the sharing feature, you can combine multiple documents into an easy-to-share board made up of multiple pages. For example, you can combine photos of pages from your notebook into one document, add notes to them, and then export everything as a single PDF file.
Save your work
When you’re done, you can export the results to a PDF file that contains all pages of the board. You can also save each board page as a separate PNG file or print them.
Multimedia lessons
Play video materials for all participants from services such as YouTube, Twitch, or direct links. Enrich the lesson and increase engagement by drawing students’ attention to multimedia content, e.g., featuring science experiments, historical events, or faraway places. At any time, you can rewind or pause the video, inviting students to discuss.
Free cloud
All boards you’ve visited are in the “Boards” tab. There you can freely browse them or remove them from the list. As their administrator, you can edit the title and description, which makes them easier to organize and later find using filtering options.
Configure your own Draw.Chat
If you have more specific requirements regarding the board’s functionality, you can customize all its elements—such as available features, tools, initial page contents, or default settings—using the configurator, for example by preparing lessons in advance for different classes. You can also embed these boards on your website, blog, or in your own e-learning system.
